Pictures of my grandparents!

I wanted to give everyone some pictures of my grandparents! My grandpa's name is William Edward Johnson Jr., and my grandma's maiden name is Margaret Ann Bruce. They were married for fifty-something years! I'm following my family ancestry through my grandma's side because my grandpa's last name is not the best name for finding accurate information.  My grandpa looks a bit like Elvis Presley, and apparently we're distantly related to some Presley's but on my grandmothers side. I wouldn't be too upset if I found out my grandpa was Elvis's brother, and if we inherited some of his money!

In my last blog post I posted some pictures of some relatives, the lower picture is of my great great grandparents on my grandmothers side. The upper picture is of my relatives that started the city of Poole Kentucky-hence their last name Poole. I'll post more later! =)

Got Pics?

I went to my Nanny's today and got a couple pictures to show the world! There's so much information about my family through just her side-I don't think I'll have a problem keeping this genealogy project going! *fingers crossed* I'll make this entry short and sweet, so everyone can ogle my pictures! =P 

First entry!

The first step in researching my family history involved a phone call to my grandmother on my mother's side. Some of the names in my family consist of Johnson, Bruce, Poole, Hart and Presley. I've gotten names that go as far back as my great-great-great grandparents. In the coming months I plan on posting pictures and videos of family members and using social media to put my information "out there" which could allow me to get in contact with distant relatives.
